As you already know, I am 25 years old and I graduated from the University of California at Irvine for my undergraduate studies. At the beginning of my college career, I was a biology major expecting to become a doctor (like most asian families want their kids to be). After my second year in college I decided to add a second major in chemistry. I was getting a little bored with the biology classes I was taking. The chemistry seemed more interesting. With the new major came more work, new friends, and a new look on life.

My little trek down the path of life has changed course. Now I am looking towards going into Pharmaceutical Research. I enjoyed the long labs I had for my chemistry courses (some were 8 hours long). They were fun, but the write-ups were tedious. After graduation, I found my first job working as an assistant chemist at a company that manufactures adhesives and composites for the aerospace companies. It was cool, and took a lot of work and learning on my part. Until, that is, they laid off everyone. I was offered a position in Phoenix, where they were moving, but I declined the offer. Now I wish I didn't. I am presently working as a Laboratory Technician, getting paid less than I did with the first job. Maybe this will be enough of an impetus to get my ass back to school. I am still thinking about going back to school, and will research on what I want to do with my life and what school I should apply for.

The people I met during my years of college have been a great help to me. Without them, I wouldn't be where I am today (I'm not quite sure where that is to be honest). But the friends I have made have been very supportive and I have had very fond memories of and with them. They will be deeply missed. I hope to keep in contact with them as much as possible.
