Himalayas
the shiver that never
ends
the chills that climb to
Heaven
and reach down into
hell
But someone bulldozed
flat
the tops--my stairway
up
And I wallow like a pig
in the pit
and I jump up for a second to
breath
and bit by bit the depth will
solidify
pushing me a little farther
up
Maybe I can walk again
sometime
and let the rain wash the mud
off
I'll try to search for the
courage
to rebuild my
Himalayas
But I don't want to shake in the
snow
