I enjoy being in the classroom and the students give me a wonderful high. I particularly like the students who are thankful. Many are, particularly many who pay their own way to do a doctorate. Some undergraduate students here in Canada (where they do not pay their own way generally) do appreciate the classes BUT most do not.
I worked for Walden University for eight years from 1990 to 1998. My resignation from Walden University was based on an employee who lied and I felt the need to get away from that situation. My own moral value system was challenged by the fact that I was being asked to lie for someone else. For me, it was simpler to resign than to substaniate lies or fight the lies. To me stress is not worth it.
The interesting thing is this employee would lose his job quite quickly if the President (former Vice-President) of Walden knew he had lied. I have fought with the desire to talk and reveal evidence as I felt badly hurt. Yet, I feel I must forgive and forget rather than seek retribution.
