Short Stories: Tom McCormack and Andy Monroe in ConcertAs part of Outmusic's Fifth Annual Festival of Gay & Lesbian Music, McCormack and Monroe bill themselves as "two piano-playing storytellers." Whatever. In my book, they are two of the most talented openly gay performer/songwriters in the country.
Monroe's song-cycle about AIDS, "Days of Hope and Circumstance," moved me to tears, and McCormack's recent CD, Missing, on Spotted Dog is a must-hear for anyone who adores queer music.
