Article 2 - Definitions
| 2.01 | By-laws shall mean the rules and regulations that govern the articles in the Constitution. |
| 2.02 | Closed Meeting shall mean a meeting open to only the members of the Society in good standing. |
| 2.03 | College of Monarchs shall be the body consisting of all Heads of State invited by previous Heads of State. | 2.04 | Community shall mean all homophile/homophile-positive residents/organizations in the Imperial realm. |
| 2.05 | Constitution shall mean the governing documents. |
| 2.06 | Coronation shall mean the event that marks the completion of the reign of the current Monarchs and the crowning of the new Monarchs. |
| 2.07 | Elections shall mean the annual polling that elects the Emperor and Empress of the Imperial realm. | 2.08 | Eligible Member shall be an individual/life member who is entitled to a vote at a meeting. |
| 2.09 | Emperor and Empress shall mean the reigning Monarch(s) or Monarch regent(s). |
| 2.10 | Executive shall mean the elected and appointed officers of the Society. |
| 2.11 | General Meeting shall mean a meeting open to all of the residents of the Imperial realm. | 2.12 | Governing Body shall mean the assemblage of representatives of all recognized Baronies, Ducal Courts and Imperial Courts. |
| 2.13 | Homophile shall mean men and women of same sex liking. |
| 2.14 | Homophile-Positive shall mean those persons that support homophiles in a positive manner. |
| 2.15 | Imperial City shall mean the region of Hamilton-Wentworth. | 2.16 | Imperial Realm shall mean the geographical boundaries of The Imperial Court of Hamilton-Wentworth. |
| 2.17 | International Alliance of Courts shall mean all Baronies, Ducal Courts or Imperial Courts officially recognized by the Governing Body. |
| 2.18 | Investiture shall mean an event at which titles are bestowed upon worthwhile persons/organizations. |
| 2.19 | Monarchic shall mean the creation of an annual house name. | 2.20 | Rebel Court shall mean any Barony, Ducal Court or Imperial Court not recognized by the International Alliance of Courts. |
| 2.21 | Regal Symbol shall mean a seal, ring or coat of arms. |
| 2.22 | Society shall mean The Imperial Court of Hamilton-Wentworth Society Inc. |
