It's been forever since I've even attempted to write in here. I've learned a lot in the past few months and hope that I'm a better person because of everything.
I've been reading this book lately to help me figure out why I contaminate my relationships with people. Here, this whole time I've thought, "Man, it would be great to have a friend just like me!" and this book is making me realize that the relationships that I've formed with people aren't exactly healthy for either of us. Maybe one day I'll get everything all figured out, huh?
Random thought: Has anyone seen the article on Angelina Jolie in the Rolling Stones this month (or is it week?)? I believe my brother said it best - "I don't think that there has ever been a time when I so want to be a horse." If you don't get it, check out the Rolling Stones, July 2001.
My friend Des and her baby are home for the rest of the month and I can't wait to go see them. It's the weirdest thing to imagine my friends with families of their own. I wonder one day if I'll ever be in that situation. How crazy would it be for someone to call me mom?! Maybe that's a loaded question and it's rhetorical so be nice!
Also, to anyone out there that might read this: please take care of your animals. Monday I had to put down the most incredible kitten who'd had the toughest life. No one wanted her to begin with and then she ended up all sick with no chance of getting better. My heart broke Monday night and I hope that no one ever has to go through the same thing I did. Spay or neuter and vaccinate your animals! If you don't know how to take care of them, find someone who can. I know in my area there are places that will help if you ask.
I've taken up mountain biking. The guys that I go riding with are a couple of kamicrazy folks. Jeff had a huge spill about 6 years ago and was paralyzed from the waist down for 2 days. Jason races cars on the weekends. I'm pretty sure that's about enough said. As for myself, I'm getting the hang of how the bike handles. I bit the rather gigantic fuzzy bunny about 3 weeks ago, smacking my head pretty good and scraping up my leg. Below is a picture of what I looked like afterwards. Too bad you can't see the amount of dirt that was covering my whole body. Now when you shake my helmet, it rattles! I'll start to post more pictures as I get them scanned or taken.
