Baltimore Skyline
(as I remember it)

Welcome to Hampden

You'll find out all about me prior to my move to San Francisco....

Hospital for Women of Maryland

Yes, this is where I was born. The facility was located on Bolton Hill two neighborhoods south of Hampden in Baltimore City.

Hampden Elementary School

Attended this school in 1965, then from 1967 through 1972. My parents also attended this school when they were children. Unfortunately the school was demolished in 1976 to make way for a new more and modern facility.

Hampden United Methodist Church

This is the church my parents were married in, I was baptised here, and where many family events took place.

I remember as a child Rev. Boling coming to minister when I was just nine years old and the warmness and love this man generated was truly spiritual. One of my more moving memories of him was his accapella rendition of "Bridge Over Troubled Water" at my younger brother's memorial service. Very emotional and heart wrenching moment for me.

Mergenthaler Vocational Technical High School

Although I only attended this school for 1 year (1975-76) I did have good memories here....

G.C. Murphy Company

I worked my first full time job here as a salesperson in 1976. One of my best friends (Debbie) also worked there making it an extremely fun working experience!

Stieff Silver

Worked here only for a short period in 1979 but quickly learned how to spot good quailty silver! The company has since been bought by Samuel Kirk and Sons.
