I decided to create this page when it was brought to my attention that the animated images on my front homepage were causing it to load VERY slowly, however--I have started thinking that it's not a bad idea to keep all these images and the links to them(if applicable) all in one spot on my site. This way, those whose browser and equipment can stand it can venture in here and have a look around without making it a living hell for those who are what I think of as "net challenged".

I am a firm believer that if there are things in this world that make us sad, that make us angry, that bother us or those we love in one way or another -- well then, we OUGHT to do something to try and make a difference. I think that's one of the responsibilites of our species, having been entrusted with the power to reason and create and communicate so well. So, I urge you to take a stand in whatever way you feel you can be most effective. Most of the images on this page are links provided so that you can take that first step to becoming more educated and/or becoming involved in a cause you believe to be worthy. If you have images and links that I do not have, I would like to include them here. E-mail me with details, if so. Maybe placing a graphic and a link to an appropriate site is all you can find time to do. At least it's something, Feel free to save any of these images to your hard drive and use them on your own site. After all, the idea IS to spread the word.
