Spring Equinox Ritual

Theme: We Balance Within and Without




Individual Purification:

'wash' hands in basin of Salt


Group Attunement:

all stand in 'star' position; feet and hands touching
All chant (speaking, not singing) "We balance within and without" (repeat for a while)


Create Sacred Space:

---East-JS;
---South-JR;
---West-Bee;
---North-AH;
---Center-CB
-----East speaker picks up bouquet of daffodils from center altar, Carries bundle high as she walks to the East.
-----Invites East, then walks around circle to South, holding the bundle high, but dropping a couple flowers along the circle boundary as she walks & hands bundle off to South
-----South, West repeat, North walks back to East, East brings one solitary flower back in to Center


Enactments:

-----1. Invocation: to Ma'at (Weavre)

-----2. Honoring the Activism of others who came before us, (JR explains/demonstrates to group) who were striving for balance, equality, etc.
everyone standing in circle
Each person speak/honor a 'famous person', tell about them, their work, dreams, etc.

-----3. Bringing Balance up through our bodies & out into the world (AH explains/leads group) Everyone walk, with arms outstretched, around large infinity symbol. Plants (on stands) as pivot points, Groove wimin lead chant:
----------I am a tower of strength within and without, I am a tower of strength within. (2x)
----------I let all burdens fall from my shoulders, all anxieties drop from my mind. (2x)
----------I let all fears slip away, slip away, all fears slip from my heart. (2x)
----------I let every shackle be loosened, every shackle be loose! (2x)
(AH leads group back into standing, then sitting, in one circle)

-----4. Bringing balance & what we need back into our selves (Weavre explains/demonstrates to group) Everyone select colored egg (chicken or plastic) & decorate with majikal symbols Of their wishes, needs, wants, etc.


Grounding:

CB blesses food (eggs, bread, tea) & everyone takes their majik within (inside of plastic eggs will have sprouts to eat for vegans)


Release Sacred Space:

thanks to Ma'at, Center, North, West, South, East. Each direction pick flowers back up & hand off again. East takes bundle back to center altar.

Everyone say "The circle is open, but never broken May the Balance of the Goddess go in your hearts Merry meet and merry part and merry meet again."
