Professional Session 2

My Photography adventure
In Late May I had a wonderful experience with a professional photographer and make up artist in Southern California. It was my first experience with a professional photographer and I was admittedly a little nervous about how the session would go. I had always been told that when a model was really uptight during a photo shoot that it came out in the pictures and you rarely saw the best work of either the model or the photographer.

One of the nice things is that the photographer also occasionally dressed in sexy feminine clothing. This really helped me relax....I was dealing with someone who understood my inner feelings much better. Overall we took 68 photo's. Probably 60 of them were in the keeper catagory...although we finally got down to the 10 best from the session. That actually turned out to be the hardest part of the the entire session. It's tough when you have to decide on a few photo's that are going to show the true nature of the the woman hidden within you.

Session Start: Makeup

The Session began with approximately 30 minutes of makeup. Dealing with a professional makeup artist who had worked in the movie industry was wonderful. Makeup did not take as long as I had expected. I decided I would turn myself loose....no pre conceived ideas.....just told him to do the make up as he saw me. We talked a little about the different types of looks: evening, work, sultry, everyday, trashy. He tried to go for a more sultry look....a look he claimed would make me very passable on the street...that is when I was fully clothed!!! When I made the appointment the photographer had explained to me to set my wardrobe up ahead of time so I could make quick changes as the session progressed. Since I wanted to do some boudoir photo's during the session he suggested we start with the more formal photo's first and work our way to the sexier stuff. His experience showed that it would be easier to pose after we worked our way through the first photo's, therefore I would be more comfortable when we got to the sexier set of pictures. This picture was actually taken at the end of the seesion while I was brushing my hair in front of the make up mirror.

Formal Photo's: Keeping a Stiff Upper Lip

The first pictures were taken with me in a fairly conservative evening dress....even though it was a little on the short side....I love to show off my legs...what can I say. We took various poses standing and sitting. This first set was supposed to be a formal sitting. The type of photo you'd take to put on the living room wall for your 30th Birthday or some such event. The photographer told me the first photo's are usually the hardest to relax for. He worked with me to help get me to pose and get the right expressions on my face. By then end of the first 6 or 8 pictures I could pretty much tell from his gestures what he wanted me to do and the resulting pictures showed he knew his stuff. Initially it was difficult getting a relaxed expression on my face. A couple of the photo's came out with the conservative bitch look on my face!!!! I opted not to print those. Decided to go with the sitting pose; much more relaxed and natural . The photo I chose with the photographer was one we could make into a 12 x 14 and hang on the living room wall (That is if I had the environment to hang the photo and not myself!!) showing a fairly conservative woman sitting and smiling.

Hollywood Portrait: Photo's for your Agent to distribute

This was one of my favorite segments during the photo session. I wore a thin strapped, maroon, short gown with black high heels. The photographer had me pose in various Hollywood movie style glamour poses reminiscent of the 1940's. The object of these poses was to show plenty of leg and to arch your back, tilt your head and try and look as sexy and sultry as possible. We got 3 or 4 good poses out of this group and the photographer thought that this photo would look really good as a Black and White to give it the 1940's style and look. I have to admit...it was one of the sexier photo's I've taken....and I had all of my clothes on!!!!!

Fun Photo's: Smiling and Getting Relaxed

As the Session went on I changed into a Black Blouse and Skirt with a gold lame' tank top (undershirt) with spaghetti straps. The poses here were intended to be relaxed and fun....sitting on the edge of some steps...showing off a little leg.....looking at the camera and saying " Girls just want to have fun". By this time I was really starting to relax and have some fun taling the pictures. I found it much easier to get into poses, laugh, smile and not have to try to look feminine or sexy...it just started to come out. Much of this was due to the photographer who really new how to relax me and have fun during the soot. This was one of the hardest areas to get down to one photo that I really liked...there were three that really looked great...all with slightly different poses....very casual....but still a bit of playful sexiness to them. The photographer and I finally chose this one for the facial expression and look in my eyes....Fun and sexy.

Boudoir Photo's: Showing the pin up girl in me

Well once the skirt and the blouse came off things got quite a bit more exciting. As the next couple of photo's will show I was showing a little more skin. The photographer had me pose both kneeling on the bed and then laying in a couple of classic 1950's style pin up poses that show just a hint of feminine body. These photo's present a little different challenge: Showing off but concealing the parts of me that only my hairdresser and doctor should see! The key to sexy photo's is the look in your eyes. The photographer really had me laughing and smiling and trying to angle my head and face in just the right way to look sexy.......Hope he succeeded...I think these may be the sexiest photo's I've taken in a long time. I wish I could have printed all of the photo's from this group. Choosing just a couple took quite awhile...I kept looking at the proofs and saying" I'd date her!!!" (Pretty weird!!!) It was hard to believe it was really me.

Lingerie Photo's: Victoria's Secret Catalog Here I come!!

Initial set of photo's included just my favorite Bra and my Thong panties....This made me just a little nervous at first......once again the Photographer...got me laughing and moved me into a number of Victoria's secret type catalog poses....I have to admit I liked showing off a little skin in these photo's.
