| During the winter I stayed three times with my steadfast friend, George, at his wonderful country house. The first time he asked me to wear my black and gold 50's party dress because he says it reminds me of his youth when he danced with girls wearing full-skirted dresses like this one. |

I decided to have my hair up in a 50's style and a pair of court shoes with stiletto heels and, to complete the effect, |
| a yellow bouffant petticoat and a black basque with suspenders and stockings. |  |

When I came down for a drink before dinner, George was very appreciative and particularly complimentary about my figure, |
| which the fitted bodice showed off to good effect. We had a lovely and romantic evening. |  |
 |
He took lots of photos of me in the dining room, in the drawing room and later in my bedroom as I was getting ready for the night. |
