forever - chapter three
After everyone had left the house, Esther stayed behind alone. She didn't want any company. Kian's untimely death had shocked her too much to be able to deal with it.
She locked the door and started to walk around the house. Their house... was... now that she was alone she finally had the time to think about what to do next. She had to admit she had no idea. She always had thought of her and Kian as one... They would always be together. He had told her that so many times.
She came past the picture in the living room. Kian with Shane's dog. He was smiling at her. Seeing it made her realise that he would never come back. She cried again. Harder than before this time. The thought of living without him hit her hard. She ran outside into the garage and jumped in her car. Everything was good to get away from her grief for a moment.
She just drove around without knowing where to go. She decided to take the highway to God knows where. Before her the lights turned red. For the first time in her life she chose to ignore it. With a high speed she crossed the road and was just in time to see the truck coming from the other street...
