if I let you go (4)

chapter six

1 year later

"Hey Julie, Westlife is coming to Singapore again!" Julie's friend, Amy, yelled over the phone.

"They are?" She asked weakly. She took one whole year just to forget about Shane and become a normal fan but why must they come back again?

"Do you want to go and see them? I bought two tickets already!" Amy said, excited.

"Can I not go?"

"You must. I know you are scared but you have to overcome this stupid feeling on Shane. Anyway if you don't wanna see him, then at least come and see Boyzone! They are performing the first song. Please. Please!" Amy begged.

"Alright," Julie gave up.

"But if I let you go, I will never know, what my life would be, holding you close to me." Westlife sang the last song at the one-night concert. Shane looked at Julie as he sang. Julie felt uncomfortable. She was angry with Amy for buying the front seats tickets and now Shane was in full view. "I'm too shy to ask, I'm too proud to lose, but sooner or later, I got to choose." Shane sang it in Julie's direction.

Last year's three days event started playing like a video in her head. The memories made her tears dropped. Shane looked at her, concerned. Julie stood up and quickly left the auditorium. She couldn't tolerate it anymore. She ran out of the building into the pouring rain and tried to find her car through her tears and the heavy rain.
