chapter fourteen

'She's crazy!' Mark told the policeman.

'He flirted so I punched him.' A girl told the policeman.

'Did he flirt with you?' The policeman asked.

'No, but my cousin.'

Shane and Melody arrived.

'What's happened?' Melody asked Kian, who is standing aside.

'Mark fought with the girl over there suddenly. But obviously the girl won.' Kian said.

Shane was worried but still he laughed after hearing that. Kian continued, 'The policeman is asking them for details. The girl said Mark flirted with her cousin.'

'Did he?'

'I don't know.'

'Where's Nicky?' Shane asked.

'He said he wanted to go to the toilet. We were waiting for him.'

'Why didn't you stop their fighting?'

'I've tried.' Kian said helplessly. He showed them the blue mark on his back, which was hit by the girl and Mark.

'Oh Jesus…' Shane cried. He turned to Melody and spoke stealthily. 'Fortunately we were not here.'

'Shh…' Melody stopped him.

Nicky joined Shane, Melody and Kian. They followed Mark and the girl and the girl's cousin to the police station.

'What's your name?' A police asked Mark.

'Mark.'

'Sorry I mean full name.'

'Mark Feehily.'

'You?' The policeman turned to the girl.

'Nikki Lockyer.'

Mark gave Nikki a 'kill you' look. She returned one.

Nicky phoned Bryan. 'Hello Bry? I'm in a police station now...No not me but Mark...No…just to tell you, you don't have to come...alright see you.'

'So what's going on?' Shane asked.

'Don't ask me.' Kian and Nicky said in unison. Shane looked at Melody.

'Just wait and see.' Melody shrugged.

The policeman asked Mark and Nikki and Michala (Nikki's cousin) a lot of questions. At last, the police let them go. The police told them it was probably a trifle that they could solve it themselves.

Mark, Shane, Nicky, Kian and Melody left the police station. They met Michala at the door. She came over to Mark. 'I'm sorry, Mark. Now your face is blue and black…'

'Don't worry, Michala, just forget it.'

Michala took a deep breath and then gave a smile. 'Thank you for signing my CD.'

'It's my pleasure!' Mark smiled back.

'Don't you know what's love at first sight?' Shane whispered into Melody's ear.

'I know. THIS is what we called love at first sight.' Melody replied starring at Mark and Michala.

'No absolutely not. I mean, since I met you, I know what love at first sight is.'

Melody gave Shane a weird eye. 'What a joke.' And turned away.

'It's YOU again!!' Nikki appeared in a sudden. She wanted to punch Mark and Mark was getting ready to fight, too. But Nicky, Kian and Michala grasped Nikki. Shane and Melody got hold of Mark.

'You sucking guy!' Nikki cried.

'Stop saying bad words to me!' Mark shouted at her.

'Nikki please, please go back!' Michala was crying.

Nikki calmed down. Nicky and Kian then let go of her. Nikki took Michala's hand and they went away. Michala turned around to look at Mark for few times. She didn't stop crying.

Shane and Melody set Mark free. 'I just haven't see such a mad woman before!' Mark told them.

'Yes…We understood.' Kian nodded.

'I wanna make her mine, I'll get her back! Mark shouted, looking like a crazy man.

'You mean the mad Nikki girl?' Nicky teased.

'Mel, do you have a crazy cousin like that?' Shane asked. 'Melody! If you go out with Shane, I'll kill him!!' He started acting.

'I don't but do you want one?' Melody laughed.

'Never!' Shane tickled her playfully.

'Hey that's enough. I don't think Mark would like to see any couples.' Kian stated. 'Now where we're going?'

'What about going to the town hospital? I missed the kids.' Nicky suggested.

Shane looked at Melody, stopped tickling her. 'Well we can see Dorothy and pray for her maybe...' Melody said nothing but Shane could see that her smile was disappearing.

'I agree with Nix.' Kian said. 'And I don't think we need to go with Mark.'

'I'm going.' Mark said.

'So let me call Bryan.' Nicky said. 'Hello Bry we're going to the town hospital. You know where it is, see you there, okay? Yeah bye.'

'Let's go. I think it's not far from here. Shall we walk?' Kian glanced around.

'Whatever.' Mark was becoming impatient.

'Let's walk then.'
