As I drove into the restaurant car park I could see Shane's car, two people were getting out, they walked hand in hand to the door, kissed then entered. I knew it was Laura with Shane, but I had told myself not to think about it anymore, it would only get me more upset. On approaching the table Nicky came up and gave me a friendly hug, Bryan was the same as usual, the large bear hug that nearly starved you of air. Mark seemed in a world of his own and Kian came over and greeted me with a big hello. Shane was busy talking to Laura, but noticed all the other guys getting up so came over. For those few minutes when we were embraced in a hug I felt warm and happy, as if I didn't have a care in world. However, that soon ended and I was thrust back into reality. Over dinner we chatted about what we'd all been up to, Shane only seemed to have eyes for Laura. However, Bryan seemed to be paying Laura lot of attention, something was up but I couldn't figure. Laura and Bryan went off to get some more drinks, when they didn't appear back after 10 minutes Shane said he'd go and look for them. Myself, Nicky, Kian and Mark were joking about how he couldn't stand being away from her, when suddenly our jokes were halted by shouting coming from the other side of the room. "WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?", Shane was shouting loudly, he didn't care if the whole restaurant heard him. "ANSWER ME, WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE PLAYING AT?", Nicky ran over and pulled Shane's arm back. "Calm down mate, what happened?", "Only my mate here decides to go off and snog my so called girl-friend.", We all stood there shocked at the thought that Bryan and Laura would behind Shane's back. "Ok, Keri could you take Laura home, Kian and Mark you look after Shane and Bryan you can come with me.", Nicky seemed to know what he was doing, although truth be told I didn't want to even look at Laura.
