She knacked her fingers for the hundredth time almost. "Will you stop doing that? You're making me nervous!" "Sozness Kian, but I'm just, I don't know, agitated." The doctor was already twenty minutes late and Esther began to feel a panic rise within her. She knacked her fingers again. She didn't mean to, it was just something she did when she was nervous. "RELAX! Gosh, remind me not to ask you to come with me the next time I have to go somewhere! You're supposed to calm me down here, not get me all wound up!" She heard the tone of his voice and realised she had made him mad. "Ki I..."

"Egan? The doctor will see you now." He slowly got up from the chair he had been sitting in and started to make his way to the door. "Well, here we go." Before they went in he took her hand and squeezed it gently. "Don't worry, it's just routine..."

"Please, have a seat!" Esther knew doctor Moseby already. She had met him a few days earlier when he came over to check on Kian. But now all she could think of was that he would be the one that... "So Kian, brought along your friend?" "Yeah, this is Esther. She's staying over for the holidays." Moseby smiled at her. "Like it here?" She didn't really know what to say at first. Her head was filled with thoughts of the coming news. Or what she believed to be the coming news. "Yeah it is." She wanted to sound enthusiastic but didn't really succeed.

"Well, you probably wonder what I have to tell you that is so urgent." Esther took Kian's hand in hers again. She could feel he was trembling. "It was a bit strange. Yesterday I was watching TV and I saw you on it. Apparently you are in some band?" Kian grinned a bit. "Yeah, we're called Westlife. You could say that we are pretty famous. We're just releasing our new Christmas single."

Moseby looked at Kian’s face with what Esther called the 'how am I gonna say it?' look. "Good for you... But there might be a slight problem. I'm afraid we will have to do some more tests in the next week." Esther closed her eyes. It was as she had feared... "Why?" He squeezed her hand again. "Well, just to be safe. You know, everytime there is a case like yours we do some additional tests. It will only take a day or two..." She couldn't hear the rest anymore. Crying, she ran out of the room, back to Ki's house...
