we are one (2)

chapter eight

two years later…

We were all and Nicky and Georgian’s house for the evening. We were all in their sitting room talking. I looked around the room. How times had surely changed for everyone and the band. Westlife were now on their second sell out tour to support their second massive album. Nicky and Georgina had married a year earlier and were deliriously happy. They hadn’t decided on having any children yet. Which surprised me, as Nicky would be a perfect dad, as Georgina would make a perfect mum. Kian, little to what I knew two years ago hit it off with my best friend Helen and had been seeing each other ever since. They were so well suited, they even finished each other’s sentences. Bryan was engaged to Melissa, but we all called her Mel. She and Bryan hit it off the moment they met and have never been apart since. They were both as crazy as each other and were always having a joke. But when it came to the love stuff, Bryan was a true charmer. He was always sweeping her off her feet. Shane well most of us thought that Shane would never marry. But he and Sandra married 6 months ago. They both met through their interest in horse riding. Shane’s parents hired her to look after his horses while he was away. Shane always told me that he never thought that he would find his soul mate, but then he found that in Sandra. They are so happy together. Shane was always surprising Sandra with gifts, or he would break into song for her. They were a cute couple.

Nicky walked into the room and had glasses of champagne and in his hands.

"I’d like to make a toast" he said.

"To love" he said giving Georgina a kiss.

"To love" everyone echoed. And at that moment each couple could be seen kissing.

Mark leans in and kisses me. "To love " he whispers.

"To love " I whisper back. He then leans down puts his hand on my stomach and kisses it. I put my hand on his.

"And to Friendship" Bryan adds.

"To friendship" we all echo click our glasses together.

So Mark and I had remained together. We married a year ago, just after Nicky and Georgina did. And we were expecting our first child in a month. I had transferred over to Ireland and we now lived together in a gorgeous house that overlooked Hazelwood. Mark was a perfect husband and he would also be a perfect father. He made me so complete and he was always buying gifts for me and the baby on his trips away. He was so excited about becoming a father. I think our child will be the only one to have baby Gucci pants. But Mark always said that he would have the best-dressed kid. We loved each other more and more each day. Words can’t describe what we have. It's priceless.
