A familiar tone
"Hey, Ally, how are
you?"
"Shane?" Allyson was astounded, she thought the guys being in LA to
promote 'Swear it again'.
"Where are ya?" was her second question.
"Still
in LA, but I thought of calling you tonight." His voice sounded so warm and
tender, she quickly wiped away her tears ans fell into a good mood.
"How's it
goin' over there?" The girl was interested if the success would be the same as
in Europe.
"Fine, thanx a million! What about you?" He was so caring about
Ally, one could say they were just as close a brother and sister or as boyfriend
and girlfriend. But, no, they were just close friends. Ally didn't fancy him,
and she knew that Shane had no feelings for her. But being so close to him also
meant that he knew about everything that was on her mind. So she told him about
that incident, but she concealed the names. Shane didn't need to know that it
were the girls he also knew.
He said: "Just tell how you feel, be honest and
maybe end this so called friendship!"
'Maybe I have to do so', Ally thought,
and decided to mail Jenny.
"But, wait a minute...was there a meet &
greet in the last time where you were asked if you knew me??" Ally tried hard to
keep her voice under control. She was far too nervous to hide it.
"Let me
think...No! Definitely not. I was at every audition and noone asked
that...Why?"
"Ahm...just...nah..."
"Again one not believing you?" Shane
also knew about this. He was so caring, Ally couldn't believe it, that man was
so damn caring, she felt so proud and kinda secure when she was with him. And
she was wondering why she didn't feel anything for him.
"Yes..." she
whispered quietly. Maybe Shane now thought she had shown off. She knew that
showing off wasn't the deeper sense of this friendship to the boys.
"But I
didn't do anything...I was just defending myself...Think on, they called me a
fat and lousy cow!"
"What the hell have you said to get this kind of
attention?"
"I was replying to an article called: I am shagging Shane! And I
said... something like shut up, or so...nothing really bad! A kind of 'how can
you do so while writing?' That's not bad, is it?"
"Hmmm...don't care about
this, you hear me? You know that this is not true..."
"Aye, aye,
sir!"
"So anything else? What about 'Generation Next? And did you already
start the ju,ping?" Shane was curious to know what happened in the last weeks.
They hadn't seen each other since Ally left Sligo three weeks ago; she spend her
Easter holidays there. Shane had invited her to Kian's birthday party on 29th of
May. This was really cool, although they had drunken a lot. This was funny, the
guys had to get the plane at six in the morning, and Kian and Bryan were really
bad drunken. At least the party went on till four this day. This was a really
great time, she had chatted up with all the mates and even Mark who never talked
to her. Bryan had been almost ignoring her, which made her feel very sad and
down. But she thought this was just because of him being off the
booze.
"Oh...hum...yeah...ahm...what can I say...no shows in this time,
because Pepsi is now promoting with you!!!!" She tried to make her voice sound a
bit menacing. "And so we are just practising...like the new Britney Spears song
'Oops...I did it again' with singing, 'Bye Bye Bye' from 'N SYNC, and a few more
to dance and sing along. Some of your's, too." SHe gave a little and soft laugh
to reassure Shane. She trained a dancing-compilation sponsored by Pepsi, her
group was really successful and widely known, because the girls did live singing
and dancing all together, They had someone to write lyrics and the melody and
Ally intended the choreographics, Pepsi also subsided long touring shows all
around in Europe and Ally loved it. But now Westlife's touring-management asked
Pepsi to back some of their own shows for the lads.
"Hum...Yeah...I'm
sorry, didn't want to steal your show!" The boy chuckled. "But, just relax and
wait, we'll be coming home soon and you'll get your promo back, I promise! And
the horses?" he asked again.
"Oh yes...In a few days my dad's gonna take me,
Dublin Power, Timberhill, Mr, MacLeod, i still can't believe how you could name
it that way..." the girl grinned, "and some of the others to somewhere and then
I am gonna start presenting the young Tinker-stallions...Not a real jumping
show, just the first thing to do, you know..." Ally took a deep breath and
continued: "And Irish Coffee is gonna take part in intermediate jump and
Dressage with me. And then my mum tried to do kinda same thing with our ol' lady
Iona Barra. You know her? She is an andalusian mare and aged 26. She's lovely, I
learned riding on her. Didn't I tell you 'bout her? And didn't Kitty old ya? She
had won her first trophy with her..." Ally reminded that, she was so jealous
that her sister could ride this beautiful and willing horse, she herself was sat
on one of the newer ones, the first one bought in Ireland, Irish Coffee (now one
of her own and favourite) and she didn't gain any success. This was worse, and
she was so damn jealous.
"No, she actually not told me 'bout that. But has
Jesse Day foaled by now?"
"Oh, I forgot. It's a little stallion, brown, and
it's called Baby Shane, like you wanted it. And believe, it's damn cute. You
have to see it!"
"Ohhh, send me a picture, right? You hear me? As fast as
possible, a colt with my name. That's really cool!" Shane screamed
exuberantly.
"Ok, hun, say hello to your family and to your horses...And
good luck then, ok?"
"Ok, and I do, llike everytime...Ah, by the was=y, I
should say from Kitty that she's gonna fly to Yvonne tomorrow, as a
birthday-suprise, so don't dare to say a word!" Kathryn. Kitty, was a close
friend to Shane's eldest sister.
Shane laughed: "You know I can't keep my
mouth...But I'll try!"
"Bye...Shane, all the best to the other lads..." She
hesitated a bit.
"All the best, especially to Bryan??? Ok, I do...Bye and
take care!"
"Shane...wait!!! Don't dare to..." But Shane had just hung up. He
knew that she felt for Mr. Popular, Bryan, and she knew that he knew. But he was
faithful enough to care about this little problem. Bryan didn't know anything
about it, he'd never really realised the girl when she was with them. It hurt
her to see Bryan so 'happy' while she felt like dying seeing him or speaking to
him. So one could say, she almost avoided coming into contact with the blond
lean boy.
"Hi again, I am back..." Ally was really glad to see Monica
online.
"Hey, hunnie, I just finished putting your newest story on my
webbie...and with great feedback...they all love it!"
Ally remembered that
she had sent her a story called 'On the wings of love', a little piece of her
big folder with all her stories in. She named it after the songs of Westlife,
and Westlife were in it too. She started it when she met Laura and Emily, but it
was nothing real about it, just typical 'fan-fiction'.
"Do they really like
it???" Ally couldn't believe it, it wasn't one of her best.
"You should feel
honoured..."
"Of course I am!!!"
Ally really was. She remembered
reading Monica's first story, 'Black Shadows', which inspired herself so much
that she decided to write a few more stories to send her.
"By the way, i have
a great idea!!!" Monica sounded quite mysterious.
"What is it? Hun, let me
know, c'mon, tell me!!!!" Allyson was really excited.
"Oh before I forget to
tell ya, hun, there's part two from 'Black Shadows'!!"
"Oh really??? Send it
to me!!! Now, instantly!!"
"Whohohow, don't rush on like this! You'll get it
soon enough...Ok, now to my thought..."
Ally fidgeted, what was her friend
about to tell her right now?
"So, here I go...when are you free?"
"Free?
What???"
"C'mon, tell me!"
"Ahm, I don't know what you mean,
hunnie!"
"Jeez, when do you have days off, free, kinda
holidays?"
"Oh...sorry...ahm...somewhat in the next weeks. In our school
there are now oral final exams. And so...but why the hell d'you wanna know
this?" Ally asked in confusion.
"I just thought about spending the
holidays together, you forgot about asking me to stay some time with ya in
Sligo?"
Now Ally remembered. She offered to her friends, not only to Monica,
that they could stay in their holiday-home in County Sligo, about 50 miles
distanced to town.
"Ok, I get it...I know...of course, i would be glad if you
could come!" Ally chukled.
"Tch...or course I wanna come!!! Are you crazy? I
wanna go to Ireland." she was flurrying.
"That's great, my parents are gonna
go to Austria, so we would have the whole house for us...but, I hope you don't
mind, some other girls are gonna go with us, ok?" Ally asked timidly.
"No,
that would be fun...I know 'em??"
"Ya...Georgina, the girl with the other
stories, and two girls I met on another webbie...oh, oh, don't blame me...I know
I was disloyal...I am sooooo soooorrrrryyyy!" She giggled and snickered because
of the fact that she had visited another site.
"Ohhh,
you...you...you...you...don't care. Hear me snorting!!!"
"I hear
ya!!"
"Ok, of course, I don't mind...let me know when, ok?? Have to leave
now...bye and luv ya!!!"
She was out. Ally still smiled but soon got back to
her bad mood. Now she had to do something she thought never to do to this
girl.
Ally started typing the mail to Jenny. She refused to do the same
to Laura, because she knew this wouldn't change anything. Laura had been so
unbelieving since the beginning but she never insulted her. Jenny always said
that Allyson and she herself would be best friends. And she had to admit, she
trusted in this promise. But now she was taught another way!
This is it,I
am gonna go
Like you did some time before
Don't wanna go on so
So
deceitful, no more
You didn't trust in what I said
Or in who I said I
met
Now, where had our friendship gone
Our 'best friends'
saying
You left, I am all alone
This is the price we're paying
Maybe
you try to explain
But never regain
So much trust and so much
'love'
I gave to you
Now it's shining from the stars above
It's my turn
to do
This is just the way things go
And I just wanted you to
know
I will always listen to you
I said with all my heart
Now
everything's just blue
I remember the first thing to start
But you didn't
turn on me
So I turn away, you see
Maybe you'll say come on and
stay
I am you friend, your best
But now I toss and go away
Were you
trying me to test?
Were you trying to fool around?
See, now no one's there
to be bound
Yes. I really wonder why
How you kept to this for so
long
But, no way out, I say goodbye
Take this as a kind of song
To
remind you sometimes
To see the friend through these rhymes
With some
weird feelings she sent the mail, hoping for a soon reply from Jenny. But
nothing!
The girl wondered about this poem, she just followed an inner voice
and this beautiful poem appeared on her screen. SHe knew that she a kind of
talent, but only for writing and inventing stories for the Internet or stuff
like that, she knew. She had written more than 200 short stories for fan-fiction
in the net, and for horse-loving people. She loved watching her 42 horses and
imagined the wildest and weirdest stories, but also some very romantic
ones.
And she was just writting a book about her experiences with Westlife
with the beautiful name 'When stars are born', because she was with them from
the very beginning. Westlife themselves asked her to do this, but first of all,
the guys wanted to read it...to see if it's ok to be published.
Ally
switched off her computer, hearing her doggies barking.
"Heya...keep calm, i
am coming!" The three puppies curled over the floor when Ally opened the door.
She greeted them as she hadn't seen them for ages.
"Hey Lucas, hey Jolly and
hey Lex!" All of them were white-grey spotted, except Lex, he was completely
silver-grey. Barny, a big white American-Canadian-Shepard (their daddy) yawned
and looked a bit puzzled as the girl took the collar. But as soon as he realised
that she was going to take them for a walk, he jumped at her boisterously.
On
the street she met a young girl with a magazine, Top of the Pops, folding out a
huge Westlife-poster. Ally stared at her, squinting, then laughed away. The girl
looked at her, confused nad quickly continued walking to her
home.
"Shirley is online"...Yahoo-Messenger was
screaming.
"Ouch...Shit, fucking table..." Ally hurried so she fell to the
ground because of hitting the dest-table in the middle of her room. The girl
flew to her PC and said a big "Heya" to her friend. Then Yahoo screamed again:
"Sommariva is online".
"Hey, Italian girl! How are ya?" Ally was pleased. The
two friends were there, after such a bad day. the thing with Laura and Jenny was
still on her mind, but Shirley and Ingrid did their best to cheer her
up.
Then, after more than one hour, she reminded herself of telling her
friends about the plan.
"Hey, girls...what's your plans for the next
time?"
"Ahmmm...don't know." This was Lil. "But I do!!" Ally
shouted.
"Aha, and what is it?" the two of them asked
simultaneously.
"You and me and two other girls are going to Sligo! What
about that?"
There was silence.
"Are you still there?" Allyson
asked.
"Are you kiddin'?" Lil asked back. "You want us to come to
Eire??????"
"Yup, my plan!"
"Ok,ok,ok...really?"
"Yo man!!! This is
it!"
"Oh, great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
"Yo, that's really cool!"
"When?"
Shirley pushed forward.
"In some days, weeks, when my parents are gonna go to
Austria. This will be teo weeks before summer-holidays."
"Oh, that's really
great, I have vacations at this time, too" Lil screamed.
"Oh, man, I do know
that!!! I live in Germany, too, stupid you! LOL!" Ally laughed.
"Hey, and me,
too! Not that I live in Germany. but I've got holidays..." Ingrid was so
pleased.
"OK, guys, have to go now, don't worry, I'll tell you,
ok???"
"Ok, bye and luv ya!!!!" the two girls on the other line waved her
goodbye.
