New Recruits

Under new management, the band needed some fine changes. It was decided that Graham had to go. Kian remembers when he heard the final decision-"I felt terrible" he recalls. "He was my best friend. I couldn't tell him myself, so Louis had to do it."

Auditions were then held in Dublin for a fifth member. Amongst the 300 or so hopefuls that arrived at the Red Box on Saturday 19th June, were Nicky and Bryan. nicky chose to sing 'Father and Son'.
"I remember saying to Nicky at the audition, 'May the best man win'. We were both so keen to be part of the band" recalls Bryan. According to Shane: "There was no contest. We knew we had found the missing pieces." Nicky and Bryan were then invited to join the band and see how they hit off. IO YOU returned to Sligo as a six piece band.

As you have probably guessed, disappointment was to follow for Michael. He was the next to go, and understandably, he was devestated and it took him a long time to come to terms with the rejection.
