The Classic Method

- Make it light tight.
- Cut a hole of about Ø25mm (Diameter)
- Cut a piece of very thin foil to a diameter of Ø50mm.
- Using a sharp needle push a hole in the center.
- Sand of the burr.
- Attach foil with sticky tape over the hole in the box.
- Make shutter by attaching a piece of opaque sticky tape over the pinhole.
- Load box with film. Attach film to the wall opposing the pinhole.
- Take picture; expose by peeling of opaque sticky tape and re attaching it.
- Process film and make prints or enlargements.
A practical Classic Method
- Use a Black & White paper negative
photographic print paper is closer related to old-time photographic plates than modern film emulsions. This is true for sensitivity and colour reproduction.
Paper is cheaper (much cheaper) than film and can be processed under safe light conditions.
Paper can be used to create artistic images far more interesting than a perfect copy of reality with film could ever achieve.
Paper gives you a very economical access to large format photography.
Paper can be processed at night without the need of a dark room.
