Westwood Park Stud is Located in Virginia, USA and our stable colors are Dark Tealy Green, Gold (For Racehorses) Silver (For Showhorses) and White.
We've toally changed from the "Old" WPS Into a full, state of the art breeding and Showing facility. We have the ability to host International Shows & Events. WPS Was created in Early 2001 as a premier estate to show, train and raise quality Sporthorses & Sportponies.  Westwood Racing Inc. also shares these facilities, with a small, 30 horse barn in which our Racehorses in training are located.

The current property, a 572 Acre Stretch of lovely Horse growing land was occupied previously by a wealthy family as a country residence. The huge Mansion and Main house still stands, and the stables, a large, rich opulent show piece is still standing with our other Facilities built onto the grounds. The range of facilities include :

  • -Five Barns, with a minimum stall space of 14 x 14ft, With Rubber Flooring, Ventilation, Climate Control, Cross-Ties & Adjoining Tack & Feed Rooms. There is a minimum of 1 Wash Stall per 5 Stalls, and there is a small Isolation/Quarantine Barn with 5 Stalls 300m away from the other stables.
    -Main Barn - For Showing Horses - 45 Stalls, 14 x 15ft
    -Stallion Barn - For Our Stallions - 15 Stalls - 16 x 16ft
    -Young Horse/Training Barn - 20 Stalls - 14 x 14ft
    -Broodmare Barn - 10 Stalls - 20 x 19ft
    -Man Barn #2 - 35 Stalls - 14 x 15ft
  • - A Main office, Tack & Feed Storage Area & Employee/Boarder lounge that has TV, Radios, VCR & DVD. There is also the main Security Hook-Up & Mare Watch areas.
  • -A Small Vetinary surgery were minor surgery, vaccinations & Farrier check ups can be completed. This also includes a AI Lab, where chilled & frozen semen can be stored.
  • -Aqua Therapy facility, including Hydro Pools & Walkers and our own hired Aqua Therapist. We also have Hot/Automatic Walkers and and a Large 10 Mile Trail Facility.
  • -A Cross Country area, Including North/South/East/West sections, which vary From Beginner/Learner to Intermediate, Advanced & CCI***. These coures are of Internation quality are are approved.
  • -Training Facilities which contain 1 Indoor and 2 Outdoor rings, Corrals & Runs. There are also Lunging rings and a shed to store training equipment.
  • -We have a small straight 3/4 mile run for the Racehorses which has a dirt & turf track. We also have steeplechasing fences which can be set up, and we use a local Metropolitan track which is 15 minutes trailer away. This track is used for races [it can be hired] and also for track workouts. We also own a starting gate to train racehorses.
  • -A Olympic Sized Arena, with a peat/sand/rubber mixture that has been proven to be the best footing for a horse, which can be used as a jumping arena, and also roped off and sectioned into a Dressage Arena. It is indoors and seats up to five and a half thousand people with permanent seating & Lighting. We also have toilet and catering facilities for large events, including TV & Broadcast Hookup and Filing areas for Major events.
  • -A Show Quality Hunter/Jumper Outdoor arena with seating & Lighting, we also have another Outdoor Dressage Arena of Olympic Standards and another Two Show-Sized rings which can be used for other classes.
  • -a 100 Stall (13 x 13ft Stalls) Show Barn for travelling horses including locable tack lockers and feed bins. Cross Ties, Wash Stalls, Warm Up-Rings & Trails are open to show horses.
  • We also lease Westwood Downs, a big racetrack That we can hold Racemeets on. This racetrack has temperary stabling for up to three hundred horses, a Dirt & Turf track and steeplechasing jumps.
