Leaving Aspen and Colorado

As for leaving Aspen and Colorado. SOMEONE wanted all of us to stay there. Seems Kim's car had a flat the morning we were to leave...so she called AAA, they came about 3 hrs (?) later. Fixed it and she had her tired plugged (spare) in Basalt.  And on the way to Glenwood, who should pass Kim and us but JOHN ADAMS! He noticed Kim's license plate (FAROUT) and motioned for her to pull off. Pup and I were following Kim and BJ and had NO CLUE why we were pulling into the parking lot of a furniture warehouse! But we were soon to be surprised!

We talked to John for about 1/2 hr and then were on our way home. Well....almost...since we were going to stop in Georgetown for a few more pix (we had stayed over night coming to Aspen) and I wanted to get a wolf shirt at a t-shirt shop on the way back) we decided to stay over night because it was getting late.

To our surprise, after we checked in, we ran into Sue Smith and her friend Jan! It never ceases to amaze me about running into JD family (I hate the word fan, to me, it comes from the word FANATIC and it also means to me crazies and I am NOT one).  We went out to dinner at the Red Ram and had a great time.

The next day we headed East...leaving our beloved Rocky Mountain Home and some of us even tearing up a little. But I KNOW we will be back next year.

We stopped at the leaving Colorful Colorado sign and had to literally pull Kim away from the pole! She kept saying "NO! I don't wanna go!" After 1/2 an hour, we decided to leave her, but then had to rethink it over. After all, with all our luggage, presents and everything, we had no room for BJ! So we coached Kim away from the sign with promises of coming back next year.

I guess the only way to get her lose is to promise we'll come back next year! (Whitefeathers & AspenBelle)
Looks like AspenBelle isn't the only one not wanting to leave! (WolfPup and Wolf)
WAAAHHHH!!!!!!  AspenBelle, Pup, Wolf and Whitefeathers.

We loved so many things in Aspen, meeting people, going to events and chillin' out in Aspen. The Sanctuary was beautiful! And next will be even more so.
