Maalya smiled as she watched Defrai and Nerissath, H'fen and Bimarth, fuss over Nerissath's eggs. Nahlimath's clutch had only recently Hatched, and she had been so proud over the little Hatchlings. Her wish of her own Weyr was finally fulfilled; and there were sixteen little dragonets within the Weyr to prove it. And Nerissath said that there would be (perhaps) fifteen more following shortly. Nerissath wouldn't say if there were exactly fifteen, or if there was a gold egg. Maalya shrugged. Or even if there would be twins, like at Falas when a blue mated a certain gold. Flynnth had been an.. odd visitor, but a visitor to her Weyr. And the gold certainly couldn't find a single thing to complain about, except maybe how small the Weyr was. But many of the sixteen new riders said they would stay here, at Eriol, and Maalya was happy about that.

Maalya? Shanti wants to know how many Candidates she should bring in. Amipeth's voice was soft and silky, and Maalya smiled sentimentally, remembering Ami's first clutch as she watched Defrai tilt her head back and laugh.

Around fifteen, Ami. Nerissath isn't getting more specific than that. Think back on Flynnth's clutch though! Hopefully there won't be anymore twins for Eriol for a long while.. not until Nahlimath's are grown. Amipeth shared in her rider's mental laughter.

Thank you, Maaly-mine. I'll tell Heriridith. You go and relax. Maalya dipped her head in agreement; she was tired. And Amipeth - like all dragons - usually knew best.

clutch of 15; sponsors are allowed.
