This is the oldest picture I have of John and Mary. Sorry it's not very clear. It was taken from an old portrait and didn't turn out so good, but I think you can see their faces alright.

The old homeplace of GGF John has been torn down for quite awhile, but Mom and I went to Ocie, MO right on the Taney Co., MO line a few weeks ago and found where it had been. We found the flowers and bushes and Mom remembers Grandpa telling her this is where his father homesteaded when he was on his own and raising his family.

GGF john still has at least one living grandson, Courtney "Corky" York. He lives in CA and sent me this picture taken of GGF John in early 1900's not long before he died. We have talked many times on the phone. He's a delightful person!
