Open Day - Saturday, 8th September
As part of the National Heritage Week, the Association held a very enjoyable open day in conjunction with the Galway Co. Library Services. The venue for the day was the County Library in Tuam, during which Association members were available from 10am-1pm and from 2pm-5pm to assist with family history queries, sources, advice, etc..In the morning period, Mary Donnellan (Director, Galway Family History Society West Ltd.) gave a very interesting lecture on "Getting Started on Family History Research".
