Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz was not prepared and was swept away to Oz by a tornado. Your class will be Dorothy and her group of adventurers: Toto, the Tin Man, the Cowardly Lion, and the Scarecrow. They are worried that other people may encounter tornadoes and be blown in the World of Oz like Dorothy. Each group will select a charcter and conduct the investigation to learn about tornadoes so that an effective safety plan can be developed for your school.
