His Image Not Forgotten
By Sarah

Karen was sitting alone
In the corner of a crowded bar
Sipping a martini, glancing around the room
Looking for a familiar face
There was no one in sight
That she knew very well
She had a sad look on her face
While going through a quiet hell
She was about to leave
Overwhelmed by the death of Stan
When she felt a cool breeze
And her chin suddenly lifting
Karen stared at what she thought
Was a faint image of Stan
A smile formed upon her face
As she saw him say, "I love you"
She tried to touch his face
But the image had disappeared
After awhile she went back
To sipping her martini
When she felt a light tap
On her delicate shoulder
And heard a voice that said, "Hey Kare
Are you ready to go?"
She looked up and saw Jack
And said, "I saw him again"
He hugged her, saw tears in her eyes
And guided her yo the door
He said, "It's time to move on
But know this
He'll love you forevermore"
With that, Karen wiped her eyes
And walked out the bar door
Knowing that Stan will always be there
He'll be there forevermore
