Ten Brothers - Character Summaries

Here are the main characters. As some of the characters don't appear often, I cannot really see their character, so I am only going to include the main folks.

Kenix Kwok as Gei Hau Yee

Hau Yee is a immensely rich and slightly spoilt girl at first, but as the series progresses, she becomes more likeable and responsible towards her duties of caring for her sons. She is well-versed in poetry and writing, and is very intelligent. She had a bit of a hard time adjusting to the poor life. Although she seems like a confident girl who hates to accept charity, she is also kind-hearted.

Frankie Lam as Chan Dai Ha

Dai Ha is a orphan and has always been on his own. Although he is poor, he is very caring. Although he likes Hau Yee a lot, she doesn't return his feelings at first. He is very patient and loyal, to the extent of bearing being severely beaten up because of not giving in. He thinks lowly of himself in terms of his status compared to Hau Yee, and thinks she is too good for him.

Chris Lai as the 1th brother

The most mature of the 10, he is very helpful and he likes to help his "father", Dai Ha, out with the sweet dessert business. He hardly gets into trouble and is the one who is always cautioning the other brothers. He can take hardships, and is very understanding. He wanted to step down to let his brother have Siu Lan, even though he liked her a lot.

Jack Wu as the 3rd brother

Strong and handsome, he is very headstrong and doesn't like to admit he's wrong. Of the two (the 2nd brother and him), he is less caring. However, that is due to Sai Hung spoiling him and teaching him the wrong things. He can be very caring, too. He treasures family and is loyal. He stands for what he believes in, and also shows concern for Tung Tung, worried that she cannot take the low-born life.

Don Li as the 4th brother

Somewhat immature, he didn't like to give in to his eldest brother at first, and is always picking fights with him. He was miserable when with the circus, but he put up a brave front to encourage his youngest brother, who was with him. As he was illiterate, he was tricked into signing a contact with the cunning ring leader. He longed for his family, and he is also loyal.

Nicky Law as the 5th brother

Mild-mannered and shy, he was worried when he ate a chicken wing and grew wings, thinking he was becoming a chicken. He is very soft-spoken and he gets easily afraid, and isn't very brave. He tries to gain favour with Tung Tung, because he likes him, but he gives up when he sees she is keen on his brother.

Liu Kai Chi as Man Sai Hung

Unreasonable and evil, Sai Hung is one of the worst warlords to date. He kicks people, orders them to be caned, overtaxes them, and does the worst imaginable. He doesn't speak reason, and he also teaches his sons to be fierce and strict with the people, in addition to spoiling them. Luckily, he reaches his downfall.

Leila Tong as Siu Lan

Seemingly rude at first, Siu Lan is actually a kind-hearted girl who helped the two brothers in the circus. Her mother died when she was young, and her father went M.I.A. Although she has a photo of her father, it is only a part of his face, and as a result no matter how hard she tries to find him, she is unable to. She is good in the line of performing arts, as she was trained since young.
