Ten Brothers - My Thoughts
Ten Brothers has been an awesomely nice show, in my opinion. It was funny, yet serious, at times; and the ending was so touching that... I cried. Well, it was only one tiny tear, but I'm not that sentimental these days, so it can be considered pretty touching.
The acting was executed to perfection, with each character portraying their scenes well. I thought the acting was good and apt.
However, there are, as usual with every show, some annoying things. For example, Man Sai Hung's and his right-hand man's laughter was pretty annoying, and sometimes I didn't get what was so funny. My guess was that they were laughing
evilly, to create the EVIL feeling, but that's not confirmed. Well, the laughing sounded pretty fake and
cliche, so I wasn't exactly smiling at that part.
Then, there was the clothes for the ten brothers. Have you
ever wondered what in the world happened to their clothing? I mean, seriously, it was freaky. And their hairstyles were way weird. They looked like vagabonds, nearly. Well, excuse the clothing and the hairstyles, they were ok.
That's about all with the bad stuff. Well, at some times I felt like screaming out to Frankie (Dai Ha):
"Just tell her you love her already!" And also, I felt that Kenix (Hau Yee) was being too unreasonable to leave her sons and her ever-loyal and faithful admirer, Frankie, behind! Luckily, she didn't, but she almost did.
Haha, the part about Five thinking he was becoming a chicken was hilariously funny, and I kept laughing. Oh yeah, and his wings were cute, in my opinion. Although they did look rather fake-y.
Well, I don't know if you guys noticed this, but
Kenix was waiting for Frankie to propose to her a second time. This time, she fell in love with Frankie, and was hoping to get married to him. Too bad that she rejected him once; Frankie lived with the sad memory and decided that she was too good for him and he was just a lowly guy that didn't deserve her. Lucky for the two, Kenix's father (in the show) stepped in to help on their relationship. =D
All in all, this is a great show, with very minor flaws in it. If you can stand the weird clothing and freaked hairstyle, not to mention the long waiting for Frankie and Kenix to get married (they only did so in
Episode 18), watch this show, because it's a must!
