Chat Commands

Each user can type these commands, on the fly, into the chat-text entry window of the chat room to customize the appearance of their own chat window. These are the commands that can also be added as ONCONNECT commands.

*chat -- Launches a list of how to get help changing fonts and colors for your chat window

*chat colors -- Displays a list of colors from which to choose for bgcolor and fgcolor of your chat window (RGB colors are acceptable too)

*chat bgcolor color (*chat bgcolor black) -- Changes background color of your chat window to the color you choose for current session

*chat fgcolor color (*chat fgcolor green) -- Changes foreground (text) color of your chat window to the color you choose for current session

*chat font font (*chat font courier) -- Changes font of your chat window to the font you choose for current session

*chat fontsize size (*chat fontsize 14) -- Changes font size of your chat window to the font size you choose for current session

*chat fontstyle style (*chat fontstyle bold) -- Changes the font style in your chat window to bold, plain or italic for current session

*chat wrap number of characters (*chat wrap 20) -- Determines the number of characters after which the message line will wrap around, in your chat window for current session

*chat float on or off (*chat float on) -- Opens or closes a separate, floated chat window

*chat nl on or off (*chat nl on) -- Sets a new line after each message displayed in the chat window, which can improve readability

*beep enter on or off (*beep enter on) -- Turns a beep on or off when a user enters the chat room

*beep leave on or off (*beep leave on) -- Turns a beep on or off when a user leaves the chat room

*priv (*priv ChatMonkey) -- Opens a private chat window with a specific user

*page -- Calls a private window with the room admin if they are logged into the chat room

*ignore list -- Prints the list of users you are currently ignoring

*ignore add username (*ignore add LipFlapper) -- Ignores messages posted by an obnoxious user from being viewable in your window

*ignore remove username (*ignore remove LipFlapper) -- Allows messages from a previously ignored user to be posted in your window again

/help -- displays the complete list of chat commands into the chat window
