What show have you guys been watching? In "Killed by Death" Xander protects Buffy from Angel even though he knows he doesn't stand a chance. Even Cordelia knows that Xander 'would die for Buffy' (WAV). I vaguely recall more instances, but I can't remember in which episodes. I'll have to think about it some more. Also, you'd be surprised what a guy will go through to get some. :)
(Starlet 7/14) - "Angel and Buffy are made for each other....yes, he killed Ms. Calender, but he can hardly be blamed..... and he is really cute"
A lot of you guys are totally dismissing every bad thing that Angel/Angelus does just because he's "is really cute". I find that disturbing. Just wait till a bimbo gets preferential treatment over you and we'll see what you guys think. I don't care that 'Angel didn't do it, it was Angelus'. That's like saying TV & Music made me chop my dog's head off. Besides, which is Angel's 'normal' personality Angel or Angelus?
(Shadi 7/14) - "look angel and buffy have had the hots for each other since the first time he saw her in L.A. And anyway i think xander was acking like a jerk,he was so jelasous of angel that when willow tired to change angel back to good, xander didn't even tell her in the hopes that she would kill angel and in which she did, in "
Are you saying that Angel has 'dibs' on Buffy? I'll agree that part of the reason why Xander didn't tell Buffy about Willow's attempt was due to jealousy. However, I believe that part of the reason was that he felt Angel needed to be held accountable for what he has done to everyone. Like they held Ms. Calendar accountable for betraying their trust. Xander may also have been protecting Buffy. If he did tell her then she might have been distracted. She might not have fought as hard as Angelus was fighting her. She might have been killed.
(Rae 7/13) - "I love Angel. Angel and Buffy have more in common than Buffy and Xander."
Should I even bother? Angel is over 200 years old, Buffy is what.. 16? Angel is a vampire, Buffy isn't, not to mention she's a vampire slayer. yada, yada, yada.
(Virginia 7/13) - " ...Xander is a wimp! Angel can protect her (if she needs it). Buffy is always having to defend Xander. What's up with that? "
Now who resuscitated Buffy when she 'died' in the first season's finale? Who just stood back open-mouthed? That would be Xander & Angel, respectively.
(Cielito 7/2) - " And if you think what Xander feels towards Cordy is pure teen lust how can you be so sure that's not what he feels for Buffy."
This is easy. All Xander wants to do with Cordelia is make-out in the broom closet. Granted, he might be starting to feel more towards her as their relationship develops. Anyway, if Xander just lusted after Buffy he would have just 'opened up his present' and 'gotten it over with'. Who I wonder about is Angel. Didn't he mention in the first season that he had fallen in love with a slayer before? If this is true, then maybe Angel 'falls in love' with slayers to ease his guilty conscience. I am still debating whether or not Angel fell in love with another slayer. I'm trying to decide if Darla was talking about Buffy or another slayer during the episode "Angel".
(Ryan 6/19) - "...Xander follows her around like a pathetic puppy dog and DID NOT express his feelings for her when she was available."
If I remember correctly, in the first season Xander told Buffy about his attraction to her and was summarily rejected. I think everyone will agree that Buffy knows how Xander feels. Xander actually asks Buffy to the prom, but was rejected ("Prophecy Girl").
(Cielito 7/2) - "He's (Xander) a jerk!"
(Sarah 7/1) - "...whatever Angel fan said that Xander was a jerk, was right on."
(Cristina 6/30) - "Xander is a slimy jerk."

Why is Xander a jerk? Because he felt that Angel should be punished for killing people? I'm not sure why Xander didn't inform Buffy about Willow's 2nd attempt to restore Angel's soul. Whether he did it for selfish reasons or to make it easier for Buffy. I suspect it was a little of both. Either way it didn't matter. Willow was too late. Angel had already released the demon. Buffy had no choice, but to send him to hell. If Xander is such a jerk, he would have accepted Buffy's "offer" during the episode "Bewitched, Bothered, and Bewildered".
