| About the Third Season |

(10/21/98) I don't know what to say. I've been really really disappointed with this season's episodes. The only episode that I've enjoyed was "Dead Man's Party". And that episode had the entire gang, for some reason which I can't comprehend, lecturing Buffy rather harshly. The other episodes have been too heavy on the serious side. I watch BtVS for it's comedic value and whether or not Xander will end up with Buffy. I haven't found myself laughing as much this season and I don't see Xander and Buffy together anytime soon, especially with Scott in the picture. This season's eps have focused too much on the Buffy and Angel relationship. In each episode the monsters/demons storyline have been pushed to the background. Last season's episodes had some story about Sunnydale/Hellmouth/etc. with the Buffy and Angel relationship as an underlying thread. I may not be in favor of the Buffy and Angel relationship, but I enjoyed quite a few episodes last season even with Buffy and Angel's relationship in full swing. Albeit, I started to get annoyed when they kept smooching too much. Hopefully this trend won't continue.
