Okay, I don't have pictures for this time, you'll see why in a second. Anyway, so Gill and I had just gotten to our seats when I decided I had to go to the bathroom, so I left. The bathrooms at this place were impossible to find though, so I was wandering around for a while (and I really really had to go). When I was walking, two guys stopped me and said "hey, were you at the show in Camden a few days ago?" And I was like "yes, I was" and then they said "oh, we're roadies for BNL, and we thought you looked familiar, the guys were talking about you." I asked "the guys, as in the band?" and they said "yes." I'm pretty sure they were legit because they had working passes and stuff. I guess they recognized me because I was wearing the same homemade crazy pants that I had worn to the show in Camden. I made the pants myself, on the front I painted symbols from all the different albums, and on the back I wrote "Pinch me" on the butt (which more than a few guys took as an order, and decided to pinch my ass) in rhinestones, and "BNL rocks" down the back of the legs. So, I'm walking around on a natural high after hearing that the band was talking about me when another guy stops me and says "you look like a really big fan" and I'm like "damn right I am." He held out a backstage pass and said "do you want to come backstage?" I said "hell yeah!" At this point I assumed he was from a radio station or something and was giving out passes, but he was actually a guy who just happened to have an extra pass. So we went backstage for a meet and greet, but I had to pretend like I was with this guy and his friends, so I did, the only problem was that we weren't allowed to use our own cameras, the record company had someone taking pictures of the band with groups of people...needless to say, I never got my pictures. The guys came around and signed autographs and chatted with us but we WERE NOT allowed to take pictures with them. I didn't really say much to any of the guys because they were kind of in a hurry and I was feeling particularly shy that day, but I did manage to show Ed (who was looking EXTREMELY FINE...he was wearing board shorts and a tight white t-shirt...I was drooling) my pants. When I turned around and showed him my ass he said "oh, wow, and they even say 'pinch me' right on the butt...not that I was looking or anything." I'd like to think he enjoyed reading my ass and that he was checking me out (I can dream, right?). Then he told me how awesome it was that I had spent all that time making the pants and how much the band appreciates dedicated fans like me...I thought that was pretty cool. I finally got back to my seat about 45 minutes later, and told my friend Gill what had happened...she was so relieved! She thought I had been abducted! |
