WELDING CART PHOTO This is the cart that Dave built. (Actually, these are the photos of the cart that Dave built.)

After using the welding cart that came with the welder for several months, I have decided that I need a cart that is a little sturdier. The old welding cart was a little bit flimsy. I guess it did the job, but the new AR/CO2 cylinder doesn't sit very steady on it. I guess that the old cart was only meant to have a 20 cu. ft. cylinder on it. (Oops, I've got 80.) Besides, it just wasn't cool!

WELDING CART PHOTO Anyway, here's the new one. I'm still working on it. It needs a shelf in the middle. I welded in shelf standards so that I can move the shelf as needed. I am also going to add a place to coil the cables and hang my welding helmet. It also needs a handle. That is in the works, but anybody that knows me knows that a simple handle just won't do. No. I have to go and make everything complicated. So, I am working on a fixture to put in a hydraulic press so that I can bend a length of tubing in a curve for the handle. We'll see how that goes. If, the next time you see this cart, it has a straight handle attached to the front of it, you'll know how it went.

WELDING CART PHOTO I also need to affix a chain to the cylinder end of the cart to keep the cylinder from toppling over causing all manner of bad things. (Fortunately, at least it's inert gas. Not flammable.)
