“‘I’ll get the assassin,’ Johnson told agent Bionic, ‘You free the hostages.’. . . The next floor had the building’s systems and equipment, so they would be lots of cover. Agent Johnson knew that his battle would be one of physical strength and agility, not bullets.” Agent Johnson ran to the stair’s bottom and jumped up most of the stairs. As he reached the maintenance level, he saw Ramo disappear behind a heater. Johnson slowly skirted the edge of that heater until he was face to face with Ramo. Ramo launched a powerful fist at the unsuspecting agent. *** Agent Bionic pummeled the last of the terrorists on this level with is fists. He had been hit a lot, but mostly in non-vital places or in areas protected by his armor. He had to get through to the hostages now. He limped toward a side door and rammed into it. The door slightly cracked. From the impact, he could tell it had been barricades. “Barriers don’t stop me,” he whispered as he rammed it again. He continued to ram it until he finally managed to shatter the door and push away some of the furniture reenforcing it. A few terrorists were in the room, and they all fired on Bionic when he pushed through. They feared him greatly, however. He had managed to take out their comrades and burst through their barrier. Bionic’s armor absorbed most of the damage, and he managed to hobble over to a terrorist and punch him in the face. He grabbed the man’s gun and finally returned fire. He took out one insurgent before the others fled. Bionic then freed a few hostage agents. When he managed to find Frink and untie him, Frink gave him an awkward hug. Bionic tried to ignore it and limped over to a closet. After forcing it open, he found a weapons cache. He liberated these weapons and handed them out to the freed agents. The agency was back with a vengeance. *** Agent Johnson deftly moved out of the way of the attack. He returned with seven rapid blows to Ramo’s stomach followed by a powerful punch to Ramo’s face. His adrenaline was pumping. Disoriented, Ramo, fell to the ground. He was back on his feet in a second, and tried to karate-chop the agent. Johnson dodged again and returned with a pummel to Ramo’s head and spleen. This caused internal bleeding. Since the assassin’s speciality was sharpshooting, he wasn’t able to take this much pain. He collapsed to the floor and, before fading out forever, he saw Johnson face. The agent’s shades had fallen off, and Ramo recognized him. “You . . .” he murmured, barely awake. “Yes, me. Me . . . I am your demise . . . I am complete,” informed Agent Johnson in a monotonous tone. “Have a nice day.” With that, Johnson turned and walked away. *** Johnson regrouped with Agents Bionic, Andy, and Frink in the top-floor office. The dozens of other agents had swarmed the building, freeing the hundreds of other hostage agents. Soon enough, SWAT and federal troops had swarmed the building. “We have defeated an assassin, not the anarchist,” Frink informed, “Apparently, the assassin is leading from another building. A helicopter has been sent by HQ to airlift us there.” “Wait, we’re gonna have to fight this guy too?” inquired Agent Bionic. “The other agents are still recovering from their recent abductions,” Frink responded. “But I can’t use my leg! And you and Andy were trapped too! We can’t do this,” cried Bionic. “The anarchist must be eliminated. His forces are striking in full. The city, the entire nation is relying on us to enter that building and kill that man. We must do it,” Agent Andy broke in. “I concur with Agent Andy,” Agent Johnson agreed, “We are capable of defeating the threat. We must work together to defeat the anarchist.” They all nodded their consent, albeit grudgingly from Bionic. With that, they left for the helicopter (save Frink, who remained behind to monitor their activities). *** The anarchist was stunned. Ramo lost to two agents. Now that entire agency was free. In addition, the feds had arrived. Now helicopters and tanks were charging his hostage building. The mobs of supporters that had been defending it had dispersed and only his own troops remained. As he looked at a security camera in his busy headquarters and saw a black chopper headed straight for this floor. It looked like it would crash in though the window if it didn’t stop. But it did just that. It rotated sideways, and someone inside of it shot something at the building. A second later, the wall in front of the anarchist exploded. His surviving men took their stances. As they aimed, three figures jumped out of the chopper and landed on the floor. The figure in a black suit and tie began rapidly punching and chopping at the insurgents. The big one in the body armor shot a submachine gun all around the room, cutting down many. The smaller one in the body armor began juggling metallic objects. The anarchist charged the one in the suit. He swiftly walked behind the man and drew his knife. He put his arm around the agent’s neck from behind and put his knife in position. Before the anarchist could swipe, however, the agent elbowed him in the stomach and back-handedly punched his face with substantial force. The anarchist flew back and nearly fell outside, teetering on the edge. Regaining his balance, the anarchist subtly moved to the smaller man in the body armor. The man was still juggling when he arrived and went unnoticed by the anarchist’s thugs. Then the juggling man threw out one of the metallic objects he was juggling. It landed near a group of insurgents. The man threw out another object and it landed near another group of terrorists. Before the man could throw the third, the anarchist jumped over him and landed in front. The anarchist then grappled the man and lifted him into the air. The smaller man stared down at the deep brown skin of the anarchist and the red glow in the terrorist’s eyes. He lifted the last metal object he had and shoved it hurriedly into the anarchist’s mouth, breaking the extremist’s jaw. The anarchist loosened his grip and the smaller man dropped to the ground. The man rolled away and produced a remote from his pants’ pocket. He then hit a button, and the three bombs he was juggling went off. *** As the dust settled, Special Agent Mark Johnson walked to Special Agent Andy. Staring at the many splattered remains of the former anarchist, he said, “Threat eliminated. Congratulations, Agent Andy.” The few remaining insurgents fled and were soon captured by the swarming SWAT team. Order had been restored to the Windy City, and the largest group of anarchists in the United States had been successfully eliminated. *** Two days later, the agents of Team 13 stood in a long line of fellow agents, still bearing the scars of battle. All were happy and relieved to be alive. A short memorial was held for the members of Team 11, all of whom had died in action. Their replacements were coronated, and pledges were exchanged. Agent Andy was then asked to step forward by the head of the agency. The leader then awarded Agent Andy with a medal for his courage and exemplary actions. The agency’s highest-honor medal was bestowed upon him, and he was given a five-dollar raise. But he still wasn’t promoted. Congratulations, Agent Andy. Congratulations indeed.
