The MJ 12 think they know everything. They think they can be the new us (Illuminati). They don’t know jack.
First of all, they go on and on about their mission to “promote reason, order, technology, and law.” Apparently, they want to turn humans into machines.
This mission statement makes it seem like the future they will make for us will be a socialist-communist place where we all think alike and advance the world into a bright and positive future.
(Negative buzz sound)! Wrong!
Our psionics and mages have gazed into a future run by the MJ 12, and what they actually saw was an excessively-clean, bureaucracy-swamped, totalitarian corporate police state run by a certain obsessive-compulsive former US senator known as “ Emperor T-V.” It’s like something out of 1984.
At least it’s sparkling clean.
Now we Illuminati do want control of the world (and in many ways, we already have it). But we don’t want to directly oppress the masses. We want an illuminated rule of enlightened individuals that secretly guide the common man to make better choices. Our leadership is opened to any human that has reached advanced stages of enlightenment. We’re kind of like a semi-totalitarian republic.
But these MJ 12 jerk-offs decide that they’re superior and can crap all over our bright future. Well I don’t think so.
Thirdly, – I mean, secondly, – the Not-So-Majestic Twelve wanna destroy all the supernaturals. They’re homo-centric (Heh, kinda makes them sound gay, though I think they hate gays too). We at least tolerate the harmless parts of the paranormal. We’re even researching ways to allow vamps to redeem themselves, ‘wolves to shed their curse, and mages to become incorruptible. We’re out to help everyone.
Next, we’re not outrageously big. We don’t want to have too many people serving under us. We want the vast majority of living beings to lead their own lives. So, we only have Bureau 13 as our supernatural-policing force and our inner circle of agents. We don’t clone massive armies or recruit UN troops to do our every bidding. We use technology more than brute force.
But maybe we should have chosen strength over tech because today, the MJ 12 is taking over. Looks like their hopeless future is going to happen, because we can’t defend ourselves from the armies of the US or the infinite swathes of cloned men in black (by the way, those f***ers are impossibly strong and tough). We don’t have half as many black helicopters or as much funding. The MJ 12 has the support of the megacorps. We have the support of one supersect. And that sect refuses to fight in addition to not making any money.
Not only that, but the supernatural (with a few exceptions) doesn’t even have our back on this. They’re tired of us policing them and preventing them from dominating the mundane world. Well here’s news for you, boys: Life ain’t gonna be any easier with the MJ 12. In fact, they’re on a crusade to kill all of you.
So it looks like “Emperor T-V” is gonna rule over us, and his clones will rule over our children. His hoards of supersoldiers will oppress us while megacorporations will make the rich richer and the poor poorer.
But at least everything will be clean. That’s an upside to our dismal future.
