Chris

In late January of this year, when Chris moved back from Hendersonville, he moved into a small house located in a lovely rural setting, surrounded by woods and adjacent to the Pisgah National Forest. This is the little house on Turkey Creek where Larry had been living during most of the prior year (2000), and the setting is beautiful during each of the four seasons. Since the four cats were already there, and since Chris loves them to distraction, the cats (Tigger, Pooh Bear, Precious, and Sweet Shot) stayed there with him rather than to be moved once again. This is an arrangement agreeable to the whole family!

There is an abundance of rhododendrons near the house, and Turkey Creek itself flows about thirty feet behind the house, complete with a small stretch of falling water (not exactly a waterfall!) which provides a constant soothing sound around the clock. There is also a small clearing behind the house, surrounded by vegetation under a canopy of trees, and on the bank of the creek: one could not imagine a more tranquil setting for reading, a picnic, or just sitting and doing absoutely nothing!

Chris works as a suveyor's assistant for Survey and Design Services, a job he has held since late 1996. It is a job which keeps him outdoors lots of the time, something he enjoys very much. In his off time, he enjoys going to Asheville Tourists baseball games, listening to his collection of records and CD's (he's partial to the Carpenters, popular music of the '40s and '50s, and lots of classical music). He also has a keen interest in weather phenomena.

The pictures below were taken at Chris' house, and many of them show Chris and the cats.
