Xander's Dream
Xander's dream contains many elements, only a few of which I am attempting to intepret. Thorughpout the dream, Xander is told that his firends have all gone. This is perhaps an interpreatition of the fact he feels left behind by all his friends who have gone to college.

Moving on. Again in the dream, Xander repeatedly moves towards soemthing he desires (Willow, Tara, Joyce etcc.) but finds himself in the basement. This is perhaps indicitive of the fact he feels stuck in life. Everyone is moving on, and he's stuck in the basement.

The foreigh language - perhaps he feels intimidated by everyone elses knowledge.

The playground? Perhaps he feels Spike is muscling in on the gang (becoming a Watcher) and that Buffy needs to be more careful, but perhaps not.

The others things? No idea

UPDATE!!!

I light of recent events. Anya's comment about it being a big year fro vengeance is coming to fuition after Xander gilted her in "Hells Bells". Also, the Spike thing was followed up in "Tabula Rasa" when Spike beleived himself to be Randy Giles - Rupert's son.

Also, looking back, I'd say when he said that there were some things Buffy couldn't protect herself from, he was possibly meaning Glory.
