Channel 5's
candlepin championship annual show ran from 1976 to 1995. From 1976 to 1982
it was a 2 person field, 3-string match. 1983 was the first year of a 5 person
field and a 2-string finals match. From 1976-1984, the championship show was
called the "Yellow Pages Championship". From 1985-1992, "True
Value Championship". All the shows were broadcast live.
