The instrumental "Heavens Edge" was dedicated to Travis Wyrick's mother who passed away shortly after Luv n' Lust came out.
The song "Miracles" fondly refers to bassist Rob Martin's wife, Kimberly.
The band spoke to Charlie Daniels himself to get permission to record "Devil Went Down to Georgia"
State of Mind was recorded at Travis Wyrick's home studio, and all the mixes were done by him and the other band members.
