Bo the Border Collie Says,

"Woman's Best Friend?"

Chocolate

By  Corri

Sugary sweet, my dear old friend.
Such a delight for my work day's end.

Dark rich color and a satiny touch,
Through laughter and tears, I love you so much.

You're always waiting to cheer me through
Whatever's been dished that turns me blue

Playfully I picture you smiling at me,
Loyal and loving and faithfully.

Chocolate, oh Chocolate, my oldest friend
Where would I be if you came to an end?

As a child I remember you fondly nearby,
Tagging along, never asking why.

With age your rich color is tinged with white,
Mellowed but never refusing a bite.

Chocolate, oh Chocolate, I leave you in tears.
Age has taken a toll and left me with fears.

My fondest memories your presence marks.
I'll remember you always and treasure your barks.

Chocolate, with you life has never been drab.
My sweet fuzzy fur ball, my chocolate lab.

WARNING: Chocolate should not be consumed by DOGS no matter how much they beg. If you don't believe me, please check with your veterinarian.
