One night I was watching a very powerful show on TV. It was on spirituality, and the paranormal. Well of course you could imagine my interest in this show. Well anyway they had kind of a test on the show, for people to test their spirituality, and their openess to it. This is the test:

First you need a string, whether it be a shoestring, yarn, twine, etc... and you will need an object with a little bit of weight to it, a large washer, or a key perhaps. Tie the washer/key to the end of the string, and make a pendulum. After you have completed that, get any coin, the odd number coin such as a quarter=25 or a penny=1, and the even number coin such as a dime=10. Now place the coin in your open hand, and with the other hand hold the top of the string, and let it hang down just over the coin. Now look at your pendulum, if it starts swinging, for the odd coins it will swing the length of your hand, for the even coins, it will swing side to side, it is very important to keep your hand as still as possible, don't force the swing, let it start on its own. Does it swing? Well if it does, then you are very open to spirituality.

Now I am very well aware of how there are other explanations on why this happens. Such as "Well you are concentrating so hard on the pendulum that you don't notice that you are actually swinging your hand." Well we tried this experiment a different way. We attached to a solid surface, and no it did not swing, could this be because we doubted it in the first place? What have ya got to lose, go ahead and try it. Either way it is fun to try!
