Weary in my solemn state
An angel came to me
Lifted me up in spirit
In the place that I should be

I was truly touched by an angel
Just like God had planned
The tears had all dried from my eyes
As soon as I felt her hand

She soothes my soul completely
My fears all chased away
I have been so richly blessed
When I was touched by an angel today
