The purpose of this book is to inform the reader ofthe methods which I have used whilst handling andtraining Horses. I feel that it would be of a great advantage to the equine species and their human aquaintances if these methods where used more often. This is because I have learnt that most of the more common problems encountered are caused through either the horse not understanding the handler, or the handler not understanding the horse. This book will guide the reader from the first steps of meeting a horse to eventually training the horse for Showing, Jumping, Dressage and Cross-country.

My own method of introducing the saddle and bridle is also included, as is a guide to buying a horse according to what the horse is to be used for.However, this book does not contain a Basic grooming or care guide, and it is not by any means a veterinary manual. The main emphasis is on communication with and understanding of the horse.This is an unusual book because it also contains reasoning, hence the unusual title.
