Hi my name is Phyllis and I am the designer of the earrings you
will see, and the designer of this website. My husband and I came to
Southern Oregon from San Jose, California over 25 years ago.
I was a homemaker/ house wife raising two
boys. I decided that I wanted to do something in my spare time. So I learned
how to make beaded Indian jewelry. I had the perfect teacher, my mother-in-law. With her
help and guidance I learned how to make beaded earrings, and
also how to do loom work. At this time I don't have any loom work to show or offer you. If
you are in need of some loom work you can let me know and I will be happy to quote you a
price and make it for you.
While learning this trade I also became
interested in learning how to make leather clothing. Once I became very accomplished in
this trade myself and a girlfriend opened our own custom leather clothing and jewelry
business. This business went on and flourished for several years until my husband became ill
and passed on. During this time I lost my business, so I decided to go back to school to
learn a new trade. I went to college and received a degree in business and a certificate
in graphic design where I learned how to build websites.
Now that I am successful in my new job and still
making beaded Indian jewelry, I decided to put them on the web for others to order and
enjoy as I enjoy making them. Even though the design is the same each set of earrings is
