than 70 acres of some of the finest upland hay meadows in the county are
maintained and cut by Whitegate Farm using only natural fertilisers and
traditional farming techniques. This ensures that birds, animals and plants once common throughout the country, still thrive in these upland meadows and pastures. The Ministry of Agriculture closely monitor the fields to ensure that this unique area remains an asset to the region. |
