My Artwork

Not mine, Bierstadt.

Not mine, Bierstadt.

Here is one of my favorites, the poem on the picture reads:

Through the smokey haze, he intriuged me, eluded me,

I saw his soul through his eyes and his spirit was strong.

He released and captured me at the same time.

I knew then my soul belonged to him...

The Equine

Here is a copy of a drawing I did for the daughter of some friends.  I train her and her colt that was born on 7/8/99.  This drawing is of her colt who's name is Lady's Shooting Star(his Dam's name is Lady). He appeared to be a palomino like his dam when he was born, however he has now since taken on the coloring of a beautiful bucksin. This is my best foal drawing to date.  I plan to do another one of Star when he gets older.  I also hope that by that time I will be skilled enough with Primacolors to do one of him in color.

Here is my favorite accomplishment, even though he is not complete. He is a young three year old horse that is scratching his chest.  I am not to sure what motivated me to draw him, I believe it was the serenity of the moment and the cute way he was arching his neck to get that pesty itch.

Here is one a did some time ago of Secretariat, I think it was shortly after he died. This is best one I have completed. His eyes and muzzle are the best I've ever done. I spent a long time on this one.  This was a truly motivating piece.
