Retired from Showing in April 2008
Lukasz is a stallion defined by his jaw-dropping conformation, he immediately caught our attention on our search for a new stallion to add to Blackthorn Hills. In Mid-May we felt that there was an empty stall in our stable waiting to be filled, but we couldn't quite figure out where to begin looking. We stummbled upon this little guy. Standing at 14.3hh Lukasz proved to us that size isn't everything. With his elastic movements and tractability, he takes jumps at ease. A true sport horse, Lukasz has joined *Census in the show ring. As we were watching him in the arena with his previous owner, Anna Kilmar, we stood there in awe. First she demonstrated the horses abilities with show jumping and how sound he was towards distractions. We expected him to be worthwhile, but we had no idea he would leave our minds as baffled as they were at the end of the demonstration. Dressage was just as impressive as his jumping. Counter-canters, shoulder-ins, haunch-ins, rein-backs, all brilliant. Flawless. Everything about this stallion is flawless. He has a short, straight back, a deep chest and girth, and strong legs of thick density; no doubt helping along with his jumping. Not to mention as beautifully dished head with gentle eyes. When you look at him the words that come to your mind are intelligence, nobility, and courage. He is one of the best of his breeds and we are thrilled to get him into the showing arena. His breeding says it all too. His sire, Dervatiw Gwyddion, is a Multi Champion Sport Horse being named Scottsdale Champion. Not only that but he's the 2004 US National Champion Sport Horse Stallion, USEF Horse of the Year, Region 3 Champion in Arabian Speciality, and the winner of the Ann T Bowling Memorial Trophy at the 2004 California State Dressage Championships.
In late August of 2006 we ended our journey in Impulsion SIM and Lukasz, as well as my other horses residing within ISG, were moved outside and brought back to Blackthorn Hills Farm to stand with Atticus, BT Bey Shaitti, *Census, and so many more prominent horses. Lukasz has been quite a successful horse for us thus far and has managed to reach his Legion of Honor within the ISG AHA. We're rather proud of his accomplishments and hope that he will continue to do just as well with the AHAC.
