Things have been growing so fast, I haven't had time for my journal.  Because of the warm spell and the rain, my peonies finished blooming before Memorial Day.  They all opened very fast, one after the other.  Last year they were so wonderful.  This year, the roses are the ones doing well.  Covered with blooms.  My iris also did fairly well.  Weeds are growing well, too, so I'm constantly yanking them up.  Mulch does not make a weedless garden.  There are just less of them.  I'm still working on the brick edging.  This weekend, I plan to lay the patio in the side yard.  I've got the arbor in place and the beds laid out. 
The climbing rose on the side of the house is devouring the yard.  It has completely outgrown its trellis.
