Kachina's story..... My Mommy says that I was an accident. She says that my Aunt Donna was trying to decide between me and my Real Sister, Scrimshaw, to be her new puppy. Mommy and Aunt Donna thought me and Scrimmers were the two cutest puppies EVER, so Aunt Donna went home with Scrimmers and Mommy took me home. Boy you should have heard my new Daddy when we walked in the door.... "WHAT IS *THAT*?" he said. I didn't particularly like being called a that.... But Mommy was ever so calm ... She just told Daddy she was watching me for the week for my Aunt Donna. At the end of the week I had Daddy wrapped around my furry little paw. I was home to stay. I really missed my Real Sisters and Brothers, especially Scrimshaw, but my new home was pretty cool. I had a new brother and a new sister who were only a little bit bigger than me, Spirit and Koshare, so I didn't have a chance to feel too lonely for Scrimmers. Mom calls us the Three Musketeers 'cause we ususally do everything together. And I go to visit Scrimmers every few weeks too! Soon after I came to live in my new home Mom started taking me to things called dog shows and puppy matches. She says I'm going to be a show dog when I'm old enough. At my very first show ever I won Mommy a great big green rosette that said "Best Puppy" on it. Well, I already knew I was the Best Puppy ever but it's nice to know I have documentation to prove it! Boy is that ever an old picture of me that mom has up on this page! Since I was little like in that picture I've grown a whole bunch. I'm a big girl now and I get to do all sort of big girl things. I run on a Mom's sled team (I'm the LEAD DOG!) and I love to go to weight pulls and on pack hikes. Shows are okay but what I really LOVE is this kind of stuff! Mom says I'm the Best Worker of all the dogs here at WhiteStar! And Guess What!!! I'm going to be a mom! I was kind of bummed that I didn't get to run onthe sled team this year (and boy, did they stink without me!) but I think having babies is going to be really fun. My Real Sister Scrimshaw had babies a few months ago and she said she loved it. Keep checking back to see what I'll be up to next!
